Bear Hair Dev Consulting Privacy Policy
Who we are
Our website address is: https://bearhairdev.com.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to check whether you use it. You can review the Gravatar privacy policy here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture becomes visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the site may download and extract location data from images posted on the site.
Cookies
If you leave a comment, you may opt in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies. These exist for your convenience so you don’t have to re-enter your details when leaving another comment. These cookies last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we set a temporary cookie to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we set several cookies to save your login details and screen display preferences. Login cookies last two days, and screen options cookies last one year. If you select “Remember Me,” your login will persist for two weeks. When you log out, login cookies are removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie is saved in your browser. It contains no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you edited. It expires after one day.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may contain embedded content (like videos, images, or articles). Embedded content from other websites behaves just as if you visited the other website directly.
These external sites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including interactions made while logged into those sites.
Who we share your data with
If you request a password reset, your IP address may be included in the reset email.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This helps us automatically recognize and approve follow-up comments instead of sending them to moderation.
If users register on our website (if applicable), we store the personal information provided in their user profile. All users can view, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except usernames cannot be changed). Website administrators can also view and edit this information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you may request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you’ve provided. You may also request that we erase any personal data we hold. This does not include data we are required to retain for administrative, legal, or security reasons.
Where your data is sent
Visitor comments may be checked by an automated spam detection service.
